Colin S. Gray
Area of expertise: Foreign Policy / Defense
A multi-faceted career has elevated Colin S. Gray to the level of expert. As
a scholar, he has published 17 books, over 150 articles and dozens of reports
for government agencies. As a policy adviser, he worked with the United States
Government on policy and strategy topics. Britain-born, he has also served his
home country on a Panel of Experts on the Labour Government's Strategic Defence
Review. As a teacher, he created and ran the Security Studies graduate programme
at the University of Hull, England. And as a Businessman and Manager, he has
co-founded a non-profit think-tank and then a for-profit company.
Gray's interests are broad, but he focuses on defence policy, strategic theory
and military history.
