Anthony Perl
Area of expertise: Public Policy; comparative public policy, political economy, policy networks and an historical institutionalist perspective on Canadian and American governments, environmental policy and transport policy.
Anthony Perl is professor of political science at the University
of Calgary. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Besides New Departures, he
is coeditor of The Politics Of Improving Urban Air Quality (1999). He has published articles in the Canadian Journal of Political Science; Canadian Public Policy; Political Studies; Journal of Public Policy; Journal of Public Administration and Management, Scientific American; Governance and numerous transportation research journals. He is currently working on the role of consultants as agents of policy learning, urban transport policy innovation, high speed rail prospects for North America, and curriculum research for sustainable transportation.
