Clay Lancaster’s Historic Kentucky won 2nd place in Overall Excellence for 2007

Penny Loeb has been awarded a 2007 Book of the Year Bronze Award, in the Environment category, by
ForeWord Magazine for her book, Moving Mountains.

The Army Historical Foundation presented George F. Hofmann the LTG Richard G. Trefry Award in recognition of his contributions to Army history. Hofmann is the author of Through Mobility We Conquer: The Mechanization of U.S. Cavalry and Camp Colt to Desert Storm: The History of U.S. Armored Forces.

Walter Conser has received 2 awards for his book A COAT OF MANY COLORS: Religion and Society along the Cape Fear River of North Carolina: the Clarendon Cup for best book of regional history from the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society, and the North Carolina Presbyterian Historical Society’s 2007 Book Award.

The University Press of Kentucky has been awarded the Kentucky Federation of History's annual award for recognition of a Kentucky business that supports history in the state.

James C. and Freda C. Klotter are the recipients of the Kentucky Federation of History's annual publication award for Faces of Kentucky.

M. Elise Marubbio has been awarded the Peter C. Rollins Book Award given by the SW/Texas Popular Culture Association for her book, Killing the Indian Maiden: Images of Native American Women on Film

James Archambeault' s Historic Kentucky won Overall Excellence for 2006
