The purpose of the series is to actively publish a breadth of topics in Kentucky history, with the ultimate goals of educating Kentuckians about the history of their state and preserving that history. Books in this series examine a full range of topics and issues in Kentucky history, including economics, religion, politics, women, race, education, sports, and literature, in addition to biographies of influential Kentuckians. Though its focus is primarily historical, this interdisciplinary series encompasses literary, sociological, and other approaches to the history of the Commonwealth.
