Dr. Alicestyne Turley (The Gospel of Freedom: Black Evangelicals and the Underground Railroad), and Dr. Vanessa Holden will be reading their work and talking about their research, alongside Joe McGill and Herb Frazier’s discussion of their new book Sleeping with the Ancestors. A book signing will follow the panel presentations.
The history and vendor fair on Saturday, August 19th will have a table that will sell relevant Black Studies titles from University Press of Kentucky.
