By donating to the Enrichment Fund, you’ll be supporting the University Press of Kentucky’s mission to publish high-quality books on Kentucky and our region, in addition to scholarly books on a variety of subjects. We represent a consortium of all of Kentucky’s state universities, seven private colleges and universities, and two major historical societies. While our books range in topic, Kentucky – its people, history and culture – is at the heart of everything we do. Our books have won awards like the NAACP Image Award, the American Book Award, and the International Book Award, and been reviewed in The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the L.A. Review of Books. Through our Open Access Initiative, we have made 1,250+ of our texts available electronically at no charge to our consortium schools, public libraries, K-12 schools and special libraries across the state. Thousands of students and citizens can now read these books for free, and we want to make Kentucky Press books accessible for decades to come. The University Press of Kentucky is the best at what we do – publishing fascinating and relevant books that bring honor and prestige to the Bluegrass State and help counter the stereotypes that have held us back.
