Religion in the South

Religion in the South features innovative, often interdisciplinary studies of every aspect of religion in the American South. The emphasis is historical, and the range of topics covers the entire chronological sweep of southern history. Authors in the series explore the relationship of religion to southern culture, politics, slavery, race relations, and issues of gender, class, and southern identity.
