University Press of Kentucky New Poetry & Prose Series

The University Press of Kentucky seeks manuscripts of contemporary poetry and fiction that exhibit a profound attention to language, strong imagination, formal inventiveness, and awareness of one’s literary roots.
Submissions will open May 1, 2025.
Include the following with all submissions:
–Please send full manuscripts only. Proposals are not eligible for selection.
–Please send a cover letter, author bio or CV, and complete contact information with your submission.
A Google account is required to submit.
As this series is “New Poetry & Prose”, we are looking for works that have never been published, but for poetry or short story collections, we would consider manuscripts that include stories or poems that have been individually published in the past.
